Some updates to LPC Rules:

Starting January 1, 2024:

(f) Licensees must obtain at least fifty percent of their continuing education hours from one or more of the following providers:  

  • (1) an international, national, regional, state, or local association of medical, mental, or behavioral health professionals;  
  • (2) public school districts, charter schools, or education service centers;  
  • (3) city, county, state, or federal governmental entities; 
  • (4) an institution of higher education accredited by a regional accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, or the United States Department of Education;  
  • (5) religious or charitable organizations devoted to improving the mental or behavioral health of individuals;  
  • (6) a licensee with supervisor status;  
  • (7) a hospital or hospital system, including any clinic, division, or department within a hospital or hospital system; or  
  • (8) any provider approved or endorsed by a provider listed herein.


If you notice #6, this means my course count towards this requirement!

One additional update to highlight:

(1) An LPC must complete 24 hours of continuing education during each renewal period that they hold a license. The 24 hours of continuing education must include 6 hours in ethics and 3 hours in cultural diversity or competency.

  • I don't have a Paypal account. Can I still purchase the course?

    Absolutely! You can now pay with most major credit/debit cards using Stripe, or you can follow these steps to pay for the course through Paypal as a guest: 1. Click on the Buy button. 2. Click on the yellow "Pay with Paypal" button. 3. Then, click on "Pay with Debit or Credit Card". 4. Finally, fill out the info as you would with any other purchase online.

  • Are you a pre-approved Texas LPC CE provider?

    I have been a pre-approved provider for years, but the state has decided to no longer pre-approve any Texas LPC CE Providers after 2/28/19. Starting January 1, 2024, the LPC Board will require at least 50% of your CEs to be completed by one or more of the listed providers in rule 681.140 (f), which I qualify for as an LPC Supervisor.   • Can I retake the same course?

    Absolutely! As of 12/14/23, there are no rules preventing you from taking the same course during another renewal cycle. Please note: sometimes the course site is uncooperative when trying to take the same course, so please email me and I can show you how to retake the same course.

  • How do your courses work?

    Good question! Once you've created a login and paid for your course, you will have access immediately. Each course provides a downloadable PDF that you can read at your leisure. After reading all the required material, there is a short "no fail" quiz to take, and then a brief summary to complete. That's it! You will then receive immediate access to your certificate which can be downloaded right from the site.

  • How long will I have access to the course?

    All 6 hour refresher courses provide access for 1 year, so it must be completed within that timeframe. Regarding the 40 hour course, you will only have access for 90 days after purchase due to LPC rules requiring you to complete the entire course within that timeframe.

  • How do I access my certificate?

    After completing the course, you will have immediate access to your certificate. I recommend printing a copy and downloading an additional copy to your computer so you won't lose it. You'll have a year from purchase to access your 6 hour refresher certificate through the site, but if you ever have any issues, please email me and I can always provide a copy if needed.

  • Are you the best CE provider in Texas?
